The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) and the U-M Arts Initiative announce the Fall 2023 Theme Semester "Arts & Resistance" which will explore how creativity and art-making can arise from social and political unrest and resist oppression. "Arts & Resistance" will generate public performances, courses, lectures, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and mini-grants for students and faculty, creating an immersive experience that engages the U-M community and broader public in the power of the arts to shape society. We invite your partnership to make this theme semester a powerful, meaningful, and cross-campus experience for the U-M community. Project must take place anytime during the fall 2023 semester, August 28 through December 17, 2023. Applicants can submit proposals through Slideroom.
